A guest video post from my husband Don as he demonstrates the simple but effective habit of regularly cleaning your dogs’ teeth, including his taste test of poultry flavored tooth paste …. yuck!
Note: Ok…so we usually spend a little more time brushing, but you get the gist!

Anne, your husband is ridiculously awesome! hahaha. Seriously, that was a great video. I have not spent time taking care of my dog’s teeth, but you both have inspired me to start!
I tend to agree
Look for more videos in the future!
It is super helpful to see how simple teeth cleaning can be. We have a rescue dog from the beach in Mexico. Rosa has sad– I was a very sick puppy– teeth. I always thought teeth care was more complicated. I am inspired to get on it! Your dogs are adorable.
Welcome, Pam! So glad that you rescued Rosa! You’ll have to send a pic of her into our Friends of AG page! The daily brushing really isn’t bad and they get used to it pretty quickly. It helps to do it with two people at first. We also have them professionally cleaned every year or two. That helps a TON. Let us know how it goes with Rosa!
Funny, that’s how Tillie brushes my teeth
Your husband’s video was just wonderful. So often, people overlook a pet’s oral hygiene and it is really just as important in maintaining good health as routine vaccinations. Oral disease can alter a pet’s personality and can cause many other life threatening ailments. A few minutes spent checking gums, teeth, and breath is time well spent!.
Thanks for the video!
Great video, Don!
You are too kind Bri. However, the credit must be given to my three supporting cast members.
Great video, Anne and Don!
I try to brush our greyhound Harley’s teeth daily, although sometimes I skip because it’s late and I think I’m “too tired”. . . but watching your video was just the motivator to help me try to do even better!
Thanks Jan! Glad you enjoyed it.
