Oh. My. Gosh. I just received some artwork from the amazing Vera of Lulabies and I’m speechless. I seriously got choked up when I saw the gorgeous watercolors of my dogs. She captured them so perfectly and I can’t wait to get them framed and hung up in my home. If you want custom paintings [...]

I was visiting one of my favorite dog blogs, Dog Milk, and they featured artist Denise Fielder’s Paste Dog series. I’m in love with this creative use of old papers!
I told you about how I had my dogs’ pictures drawn by the wonderful Whitney Coleman of African Grey Designs a few months ago. I was so happy with the picture that I had her do three more so that I could give them as gifts. Of course, I didn’t want to talk about them [...]

Behold the “Girls and Dogs” set by Paule Trudel Bellemare. I love these prints… I’m dying to have a little girt next so I can hang art like this in her room! Even better would be a custom picture featuring my dogs, but I don’t know that I’d look as chic as these women! . . Hat [...]

Eleventh Monkey makes adorable creatures of all sorts, including dogs! The recipe is simple, felt, buttons, thread, a little creativity and a lot of heart. The result… I’m hoping she comes out with even more dog breeds! I have to say… the dogs are super cute, but equally as adorable are her other creatures, including [...]

I like art. Not stuffy, pretentious art… I like fun art. I love how Miller Sye understands me. She’s taken some of art’s classics and put a doggy spin on them.
Two weekends ago, Don and I went to Kansas City to visit his brother and his wife and also to go see So You Think You Can Dance. (My gosh I LOVE that show!) Before the show, we hung out at the Plaza with my sister-in-law, Kari. As luck would have it, they were having [...]

I just put up a post about the series “Literary Pets” by Chet Phillips and I can’t help but also write about another of his series of prints called Wrestle Pets. When I a kid, I watched my fair share of WWF with my brother. I’m not into wrestling at all anymore…but back then it [...]
Now these are just sweet. Michel Keck makes some amazing dog collages and if you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for a good collage. I made collages all the time in high school and college…yeah, I was cool like that.
. Look at this beautiful and unique dog collage art by Sam Price! Stunning! Now I love a good collage…I was slightly obsessed with making picture collages for my dorm room in college. I wish I had collage talent like this though! I love that he uses old magazines to create these masterpieces. It’s dog [...]
This would look SOOOOO cute in the baby’s room…or in my room for that matter! Lisa Marie Norton creates custom pet doodles that are whimsical and adorable. They flat out make me smile! I used to doodle back in college, but my doodles were pretty boring… mostly flowers, turtles, and random sentences in German. Nothing [...]
Every time I stumble upon great dog art like this, it saddens me that my artistic ability is like a little boy being potty trained – I try hard but still can’t get the hang of it. Fortunately there are talented people like Marc Tetro and his work shown here that make up for my shortcomings.
I’m loving this print of an orginal by Dolan Geiman. I’m thinking it could look very cool framed in the baby’s room, given that we are going to paint the room a slate blue.
