I love great rescue groups and the Animal Rescue League of Iowa represents my home state well. They have so many great programs and I wanted to share one of them with you. AniMeals helps families feed their pets nutritious food, even when they are financially strapped. It’s like Meals-on-Wheels…but for pets! I think it’s a brilliant idea that more shelters could adopt. Let’s help more people be able to keep their pets during this tough economic time!

Love what you’re doing in Iowa. And on your blog. The Meals on Wheels for dogs is a fantastic idea for keeping them healthy and with the families who love them.
I’ve gotten three pets from the ARL of Iowa. It is a great organization. I have also needed to give them a couple of “drops offs” that arrived at my farm. One was a new momma dog with two babies. They were all malnurished but the mom was trying her best. After having the local vet check her and the pups out, I took them to the ARL. It was so sad to leave them, but I couldn’t care for them. The ARL of Iowa is worth any donation anyone can muster.
