Today I’m attending Big Omaha… I can’t say enough about this conference that is put on by my friends Jeff Slobotski and Dusty Davidson of Silicon Prairie News. It’s a “culmination of the amazing entrepreneurial energy taking place in the Midwest”. Last year I was amazed the the information, inspiration and connections that the weekend provided. This year I’m excited to hear all the speakers… especially Tony Hsieh of Zappos and, of course, the always entertaining and inspirational Gary Vaynerchuk. I’m also pumped to hang out with all the amazing attendees. There are a ton of talented, innovative people in the area and Big Omaha is a direct link to this community.
I love the extra thought and detail put into the branding of the conference too… last year my favorite details included bowls of fruit roll-ups (which became a pregnancy craving), random signs in the bathrooms, and sweet t-shirts. It will be fun to see what they think up this year!
