I have been pleasantly surprised that the dogs have reacted even better than I thought they would to baby Will. I thought Zoey would be a little jealous, but she’s been great and very patient. Stella basically ignores him, although she throws an occasional bark his way. Leroy has reacted exactly like I thought he would…he is Will’s little protector. Leroy especially likes to lay by Will when he’s nursing. (Note: I had to wait to get a good picture that wouldn’t be X-rated!)
Now normally I would be too vain to post this picture because it was taken the first week home when I was fatigued, retaining water and not wearing a speck of make-up, but I just think it’s so darn cute of my two boys! I love that Leroy loves his baby so much… it seems appropriate given that Leroy was the first to know that I was pregnant. He was a mommy-stalker throughout my whole pregnancy, especially when I was sick at the beginning.
All three dogs have been just exhausted since we brought Will home. Here are Stella and Zoey on the day we came home from the hospital…too much excitement for one day!
No kidding…Stella actually tucked herself in at the end of the day and stayed like this for hours. We could tell in Zoey’s eyes that she was just exhausted that day and that didn’t really change for the first week because she was up all night with Will when we were.
All in all we are thrilled with the dogs’ reaction to Will. I knew they would be a great big brother/ great sisters!

Congrats!! Little Will is just too darn cute! You look gorgeous as well. I am so glad the little ones are loving Will as much as you. That always makes things easier and less stressful on all.
