Well, today is my due date. I’ve been pregnant for 40 weeks… that’s since January! I started out 2009 telling Don that I just had a feeling that this was going to be a really great year. I was definitely right. It’s very surreal to think that any day now (hopefully sooner rather than later) I will be a MOM! I know that millions of people have babies every year and it’s nothing new, but to me it’s amazing.
I always knew I’d be a mom. I was lucky to be given a spectacular mom who is loving, kind, fair, supportive, fun…all the things a good mom should be. I hope I can be that kind of mom to William. Even though I’ve been pregnant FOREVER, I don’t think it’s really going to hit me that I have a baby until I see his little face.
If for some reason I don’t post for a couple of days, you know where I am! I’m hoping to put up a quick note online, but we’ll see when the time comes! I’m so excited to meet baby Will and introduce him to all of you! Wish me luck…and tell him to put some speed on it!
Here’s what the dogs have to say about today being my due date:
Um…Mom? When is this little guy going to come out? It’s just not the same playing fetch with you anymore. You used to run around with me, but now you’re…well…slow. The sooner he comes out the better. Then I can teach him how to throw my ball too. Come on, kid!

Mom, I’m sorry to tell you this, but someone has to say something. Your stomach is HUGE! I mean come on, I can’t even sit on your lap without getting bumped! You keep saying something about some baby, but all I know is that I want my lap back! I know this baby is supposed to come today. I’d like that very much, although you’ll have to tell me how much you love me because I may get a little jealous at first.

Hey, kid. Yeah I’m talking to you. Get outta there. Look, I’ll have your back out here in the real world. Us boys have to stick together. Mom is getting itchy, bitchy and huge, so I think you should help a girl out and be born already! Capiche?

We’re all patiently waiting for you to come out, baby Will. We’re trying to be a good boy and good girls so that maybe you’ll make more of an effort to meet us.
We can see that you’re a “take your time” kinda guy, so we’ll just be here waiting.
