I LOVE this!  Patrick McDonnell is my kinda guy.  He’s the brains behind the Mutts comic strip and has created “Shelter Stories” to help encourage people to adopt animals.  These comics will both break your heart and make you smile.  One of my favorites is about a real-life greyhound named Flash.  Hope you can read it, because this is as big as I can get it.
