I love this story that I saw this morning on the today show. This poor dog was stuck at the bottom of a canyon… Thank goodness for the kindness of this wonderful man. I love happy endings!

I saw this story on the Today Show. I couldn’t help it, but I got a little choked up when I saw it. You see this past April I had to put my dog to sleep after 14 years. He was in pain, stopped eating and could hardly stand. This was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life. My dog a Dingo/Australian Cattle Dog, looked just like the dog in the story. My jaw dropped when the woman called the dog, “Shadow”. “Shadow” was the name of my dog. I would like the shake that man’s hand for what he’s done. But I can’t so I wish him and his family, and “Shadow” the best of luck and long happy healthy lives…
Joseph! Did you know that Shadow is up for adoption?!!! The man who rescued him is just keeping him until they can find a home for him. I think you should totally try to contact them! I think the info is on the Today’s website.
um ok, now tearing up at work… what a touching story. That hiker is a wonderful man. So glad he did not give up on puppy! Thanks for posting.
