I love coloring, so I have been encouraging Will to color fairly often… mostly because I want to be able to color along with him someday. When the time comes, maybe I’ll get this Dog Cartoons coloring book for myself.
I just bought “Help Me Mr. Mutt… Expert Answers for Dogs with People Problems” by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel for Will and it’s hysterical! The illustrations by Janet Stevens are beautiful and the stories are so funny. I know that we will be able to read this to Will for many years.
When I saw this shirt at Gap awhile ago, I had to get it for Will. Total and complete cuteness! I wish I could link it up, but unfortunately it’s already gone. Doesn’t he look adorable?!
This will become a must-watch video in our house, given how much Will adores dogs! . . Hat tip: The Dog Files
AAAAAHHHHH!!! I enjoyed breakfast with Don and Will at Whole Foods on Sunday morning and we started getting groceries when I saw this Puppy-Palooza Floor Puzzle by Green Start. I LOVE it when I can find dog things that feature various dog breeds in a whimsical way! Of course we had to have it, but [...]

I think this is God’s way of telling me that my next baby needs to be a girl. I LOVE these toys! Mix Pups are little collectible dogs that have inter-changeable accessories and hair/ears so that you can mix the breed, the outfit, etc. This is MUCH better than the stupid Littlest Pet Shop toys.
Click on the image above to see a great video of how dogs are helping kids learn how to read. This is one more thing to add to the long list of amazing things that dogs can do. Hat tip to Laura Nevell
When Will is old enough that he gets to choose how to redo his room, I hope he will pick out something like this for his walls. Blik has a ton of great wall decals, but of course my favorites are these dog decals by Pillow Pillow Pillow.
Thanks to my friend, Anita, I found out that the GAP is giving some major dog love lately. When I look at the GAP online I usually look at the woman’s clothing or the baby boy stuff. Little did I know that the girls and toddler girls sections were full of adorable clothing featuring dogs. [...]
Does your kid love dogs but is sick of the same dog with the floppy ears and spot over its eye? These are great options for breed-specific stuffed animals! Doug and Melissa have several breeds available and look at how cute they are!

I’ve said before that one of the ways we can prevent animal cruelty is to teach our children how to interact properly with dogs. This is a great book that helps do just that. Plus, dogs can be scary to kids at first, so this book helps kids understand what various dog actions and reactions [...]
. Now this is the kind of summer camp that I would have loved as a kid. Here in Omaha, the Nebraska Humane Society has an awesome summer day camp for kids ages 6-12. Camp Kindness is a five day camp where kids interact with the shelter animals and are taught how to care for [...]
When we have kids, they are going to have a ridiculous amount of dog clothing. This bulldog shirt by Appaman is a great example of a shirt I’d swipe up in a second!
This is the most heartwarming children’s book! Before You Were Mine by Maribeth Boelts can be purchased on the ASPCA website, where all the net profits go towards helping fight animal cruelty. What a great story to help raise a socially conscious kid! The description of the book reads as follows: “A little boy imagines [...]
