Hope you’re enjoying the day with the people and pets you love…
This Sunday is the holiday that people either love or hate. I, for one, love Valentine’s Day because I love…love! See, I’m a sucker for all things romantic. I like the plethora of pink and red. I love getting a perfectly picked out greeting card. I love being told how much I’m appreciated. I’m a [...]
Yesterday was a big organizing day in our household. Our goal in 2010 is to get through our house room by room and get rid of stuff we aren’t using so we can be more organized. (Thanks to Oprah’s show with Peter Walsh and Clean House for the inspiration!) We did great yesterday…Don took a [...]
Ah New Year’s Eve. The day where we reflect on the year behind us and make goals for the year ahead. Here’s what’s on my family’s mind:
.
I’m very thankful for being adopted this year. I’m glad that my parents decided to rescue and not buy. I’m also happy to have three siblings…two chihuahuas and a [...]

I had to take a picture of a wrapped gift Will received for Christmas and share it with you…Love the green dog!
.
I’ve been gone for the last few days because I’ve been spending time with my brother and his wife…they live in Cincinnati so I don’t get to see them very much. During that time, a very important event occurred. Their dog Lex got to meet Will! As you can see, Will was thrilled…
Lex’s friend, [...]

It’s Christmas Eve and I’m putting the finishing touches on presents. I have a lot of people on my list, including Zoey, Leroy and Stella. To illustrate why my dogs are on my list and why your dogs should be on your list too, I found this post from Prissygreen: it’s THE BEST! Prissygreen is [...]

We are leaving two days early to go back home for the holidays because of the massive snow and ice storm that’s about to hit the Midwest. I’ll be posting here and there during the next week, but maybe not everyday. Safe travels to everyone!

If you are like me, you are LATE getting your Christmas cards out. (Hey…at least I have the excuse of a newborn!) Now maybe I’m just vain, but I like to send out picture cards every year so that people can see us with our dogs and now Will. For those of you who aren’t [...]
This year, more than ever, I have so many things to be thankful for. It’s amazing how easy it is to take so many things for granted and I love that we have a holiday that reminds us to reflect and be grateful. Here are a few things I’m thankful for:
My Family: I’m so incredibly [...]
This Veteran’s Day I want to celebrate the amazing service and homecomings of our military men and women through the eyes of the dogs who love them. These videos are so touching and show how much dogs are bonded to their families, even after not seeing them for months. Enjoy!

This Memorial Day, I ‘m thinking about my Grandpa – Floyd E. Harmon. He trained dogs for World War II as a part of the K-9 Corps and had a huge love for dogs. I remember him showing me pictures of him with his dogs, training them to sniff out bombs or enemy soldiers. He [...]

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day-both those who have fur kids and the human variety! My mom is the best…she passed on her love for animals and I love her for it!. Have you called your mom today?
Oh my gosh…I’m having visions of Miss Zoey wearing this Easter dress in a field of Easter eggs! How cute would that be?? The bunny kinda freaks me out a bit, but the rest is beautiful! Much more sophisticated than her pink bunny costume!
So my brother, Steve (who writes the Life According to Lex posts) decided to have some fun with my dogs’ pictures. Hope your day is full of good luck and plenty of green beverages!
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, so hurry and get your dog decked out in these great collars from Dublin Dog! It’s a great way to celebrate your Irish heritage…or just general admiration for a holiday that allows you to drink green beer!
